Hope everyone had a happy holidays. 2009 was a pretty good year. Hoping that 2010 brings even more greatness with new adventures... I will try to be more diligent about posting more over here, even if it is of stuff that I didn't make but what I like. Thought I would post the collage I made from this ridiculously cool wedding. Collages and Inspiration {fun}

I know it has been a while since I have posted. I want to be like a ninja, jumping in here when you least expect it.
...So we have been pretty darn busy with the photography!! which is wonderful, but I got lots going on in the stationery world too. If I only could find the time to photograph my own projects. In the mean time I have been finding therapeutic comfort in making collages of our photography. Inspiration boards have you. Our clients seem to be also enjoying them as well.

More Table Tops! My Inspiration

Rain Delay, Bad? No Good! It gives me 2 more weeks to do 2 more tables. Because I will have already rented the table, chairs and boring linens for the Frida table top, I figured I might as well do a few more with the "base" or "limitations" of what a bride is given at a venue. I will be putting together a total of 3 table tops for Once Wed's table trends. "Frida Fiesta" "Modern Breathless" and a " A Vintage Study". All will be on a round table, with white table linens as the base, but each {hopefully} portraying some fun and different themes. As always in order to research and prepare I like to make an inspiration board so here they are. You can see previous posts on the "Frida fiesta" that is ready to go, but now I must go get everything I need for these two in just 2 weeks. FUN! Hope they look interesting.... :)
OH and I am a horrible image searcher I always forget to keep track of where I find them as I scourer google... This is a really bad habit. So if you see an image that is yours please tell me I will add your name to the post. I know a lot are from Martha Stewart, Once wed, & Brides Magazine I will try to get better at this. :(

Frida Kahlo garden fiesta table top inspiration board...hold on to your sombreros!

I have the pleasure of designing another table top trend for Emily over at Once Wed which I will have done at the end of this month. So here is my inspiration. Bright colors, rustic pots, vintage fabrics and tamales! I have challenged myself to using a round table with white table cloth, white napkins and boring white dishes.... everything most venues supply for weddings! :( I want to show that boring linens and static dishware can be made to look exciting by bringing in a few elements on your own with out having to re-rent everything you're already supplied. (which defeats the purpose of the all in one venue and a budget)

Inspiration Boards

I just booked a new couple that is getting married in april 2009 in Scotland. I got so excited by her vision that I made her an inspiration board that I thought will be great "inspiration" for the paper products of her wedding. Flowers and invitations are her priority.
I can't wait to get started on her save the dates. We were thinking a postcard letterpress on chipboard: simple and organic
The invites are going to be something that says cozy, comfortable but chic.
I would like to start doing this for all my new clients!!
