This lovely invite was designed for a wedding all based around "The Firebird" ballet. Old, colorful, fancy, and whimsy. A simple tri-fold invite sealed with a feather and wax. I can't wait to see this wedding. The ever Lovely Kristin from the Treasured Petal is doing the flowers. Apparently she will be using my invite as inspiration. :) I can't wait. The wedding is in July, and I still have the menus, table numbers, seating chart and programs to prepare... Fun times! It is being coordinated by the none other then Kelly from Demaray Events. She is the nicest girl around! This wedding is in good hands!

Yia & Sal's Soft Seaside Wedding-the paper products.
I was so happy to see Yia and Sal's wedding over at Amorology today. I am a huge fan of Amorology so having taken part in a wedding that she coordinated makes me soo happy! I had the pleasure of designing all Yia and Sal's paper products for them. They are such an awesome couple. I realized I had never posted the pics of their invitation. OOPS! ;) A really simple and soft invite with non other then my infamous swirl pattern :) and some fun blossoms. I also did the menus and the little kraft paper tags for the escort/ favor boxes, and let her borrow my kraft table numbers which I am so happy as they turned out soo cute! Our fantastic friend, Fontaine Su of Paloma images took their beautiful wedding pics.

In preparation for a fabulous affair... The Flowers!
I will be doing the flowers for a magical wedding coming in late june. I wanted to do a mock up to make sure I could prepare the perfect recipe for all the centerpiece arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres, and ceremony set up, as it is a large wedding. The flowers will be a little wild, a little old world, but overall glamorous. They needs to look rich, but still organic, vintage, charming, but still ultra sophisticated. The color scheme is to be silvery greens, dark burgundies, blacks, whites, but softened with dusty pinks and soft peaches. I am super excited about how these came out!:) I keep looking over at the arrangement with glee! All the centerpieces will be in the same lovely garden black urns and will sit upon a pile soft laces surrounded by gold mercury glass votives and vintage style lotus shaped votives in soft pinks and whites. If the bride likes it I will paint the number a glittery silver so it rests fabulously in it's little bird nest. I added a few soft feathers in the arrangements to bring in that old hollywood glamour that the Biltmore portrays and re-lives through it's history. Oh and little hidden butterflies amongst the flowers. The centerpiece is about 12-15 inches in height so it is still tall enough to work in the 40 foot ceiling ballroom but not so evasive as to block the views of the people at the table. I also made 2 different bouquets one a little wild garden like & one a bit more fancy both fabulous for the bridesmaids.... the Brides bouquet I think will consist of the fluffiest all white peonies and soft subtle greens....
I hope the pictures speak for themselves....
P.S. For those weddingbee fans this Glam is for Miss Glitter!

Winter wonderland with a little shabby chic... Save the Date.
AS PROMISED!!! Some Paper products!!! I just finished designing this Save the Date for my dearest friend. Their wedding is going to be in December in the beautiful setting of Whistler British Columbia. She is a very elegant girl but wants a soft whimsical feel to her wedding, what better way to say soft and whimsical then with some stitching of course. :) And how could I resist a little berry love for a winter december wedding! This is double sided with their monogram on the front and the save the date on the back. Her colors are Grey and Eggplant with of course some most beautiful lavender brought in later...Grey is the hottest color right now...so I just can't wait to see it all come together! I am excited to start designing the invite! Being that the olympics are one month after her wedding I sure hope there is not a bunch of construction going on!! :) And of course Erin Hearts Court will be capturing her most beautiful day, which we are so excited to do! These beauties were printed by no other then the wonderful company Spark! Ladies if you are a DIY bride and designed your invites yourself but want to have them lettterpress printed, Spark is the best, affordable and truely a pleasure to work with. OOps did I just promote DIY invites.... what am I doing to my business.... :) he he. Don't worry I still print on my own but some projects I like to send out.

Real wedding in Costa Mesa
We just finished shooting the fun wedding of Yuki and Doug this past saturday. They had a traditional Catholic Ceremony with an outdoor garden reception at the Heritage Museum of Costa Mesa. With full range of the historical houses and gorgeous orchards we had a bunch of fun places to snap their portraits. Here is my favorite 15 pics you can go to our photo blog to see a bunch more.
I know you all come here to also see my invitation work... Don't Fret- I have 2 awesome invite suites and 1 Save the date, I just finished and will put them up this week.
